The Regional Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales and business development efforts across the ASEAN region, including Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and other key ASEAN markets. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with strong sales experience in the automotive or testing industries, combined with a deep understanding of ADAS technologies. The primary objective is to generate new business, maintain existing client relationships, and ensure our ADAS testing services are recognized as the gold standard for safety, compliance, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
- Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, automotive technology companies, and regulatory agencies.
- Account Management: Develop and manage key accounts, ensuring long-term relationships with automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and government agencies.
- Sales Target Achievement: Set and meet aggressive sales targets and KPIs, contributing to the company’s revenue growth across ASEAN.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with technical teams to prepare customized proposals and quotations based on client needs, ensuring clarity and competitive pricing.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring that terms align with company goals and objectives.
2. Client Relations & Consulting
- Customer Consultation: Provide expert advice and consultation on ADAS testing services, including system validation, sensor testing, regulatory compliance, and performance assessments.
- Presentations & Demos: Present the company’s ADAS testing capabilities to clients, including live demonstrations, technical walkthroughs, and value proposition discussions.
- Relationship Building: Establish strong, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and offering tailored solutions.
3. Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, new business opportunities, and potential challenges in the ADAS sector across ASEAN.
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activities and market positioning, ensuring the company’s offerings remain competitive and innovative.
- Sales Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales performance, opportunities, forecasts, and market conditions to the Sales Director or Regional Sales Manager.
- CRM Management: Utilize CRM tools to manage sales leads, track customer interactions, and maintain an organized pipeline.
4. Collaboration & Cross-functional Coordination
- Collaboration with Technical Teams: Work closely with the R&D, engineering, and testing teams to ensure the company’s services align with customer expectations and technical requirements.
- Feedback Loop: Provide feedback to the technical and product teams regarding client needs, potential service improvements, and market trends.
- Marketing Coordination: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop region-specific campaigns, content, and promotional materials for ADAS testing services.
5. Travel & On-site Engagement
- Client Visits: Travel within the ASEAN region to visit clients, attend industry events, and participate in on-site consultations and demonstrations.
- Regional Events & Conferences: Represent the company at regional automotive and technology conferences, trade shows, and industry forums to build brand awareness and network with potential clients.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of sales experience in the automotive, automotive technology, or testing services industry. Experience in selling technical services, certification, or testing solutions is a strong advantage.
- Experience in ADAS, automotive safety, or sensor technologies is preferred, but a strong willingness to learn is key.
Skills & Competencies:
- Sales Expertise: Proven ability to drive sales in a B2B environment, particularly in complex or technical service offerings.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of ADAS technologies, including radar, lidar, cameras, sensor fusion, and the various testing and validation processes involved.
- Negotiation & Closing Skills: Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close deals while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in local ASEAN languages (e.g., Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, Vietnamese) is a plus.
- Relationship Building: Strong ability to build relationships with senior decision-makers, including OEM executives, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Presentation Skills: Comfortable presenting technical solutions and services to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on sales performance and market feedback.
